The Bible Reading Marathon in South Africa was started in Nelson Mandela Bay in 2018. We host an annual marathon in our area, as well as provide free resources and advice to those who would like to host Bible Reading Marathons where they are.
Our dream is for the Word of God to be read in every corner of South Africa.
reading the Bible continuously, from Genesis to Revelation, as a community of believers, over 80-85 hours, day and night, 15 minutes at a time
In 2026, there are Bible Reading Marathons running in various parts of South Africa, including Kariega (Uitenhage), Kareedouw, and Brakpan.
